MLD Therapy provides specialized, phase-appropriate lymphatic care for clients recovering from aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.
Care begins with gentle, drainage-focused support during the acute stage and progresses only as healing and tissue readiness allow. Every session is individualized to the client’s current presentation while remaining guided by the surgeon’s postoperative protocol, restrictions and plan of care.

Post-surgical lymphatic care should not be one technique repeated throughout the entire recovery process.
Our approach evolves according to healing stage, tissue presentation and the surgeon’s postoperative plan.
Early Recovery
During the acute stage—generally weeks 1–6—care remains gentle and primarily drainage-focused. Sessions are designed to address swelling and the involved treatment areas without overwhelming healing tissue.
Progressive Recovery
As swelling changes and tissue readiness permits—generally beginning around weeks 7–12—sessions may progressively incorporate appropriate connective-tissue, fascial or muscular techniques when approved by the surgeon.
Every recovery timeline is different. Treatment is never advanced according to the calendar alone.

Our role is to support each client’s recovery within our professional scope while respecting and reinforcing the surgeon’s postoperative plan.
Surgeon-Guided
We follow the postoperative instructions, restrictions and timelines provided by the surgeon. We do not alter surgical care plans or replace medical follow-up.
Individually Adapted
Every session responds to the client’s current swelling, sensitivity, tissue presentation and stage of recovery—not a predetermined routine or package schedule.
Clear Communication
With the client’s authorization, we welcome guidance from the surgeon’s office and can communicate relevant observations or concerns when requested.
Pause and Refer Back
If a concern arises that falls outside the expected recovery process or our professional scope, treatment is paused and the client is directed back to the surgeon or appropriate medical provider.
